December has arrived and we are looking forward to a prosperous Christmas season. It’s a time of year filled with so many distractions and commercial propaganda, but the Spirit filled church has risen up to proclaim the reason for the season- Jesus Christ! Let us remember to place Him, our families, and our peace as priorities as we navigate these times. I look forward to hearing your good report in each of your services over the holidays.
If you would like any news or upcoming events for 2024 (from your local assembly) shared with this group of Section 1 pastors, please let know so we can include that in future newsletters. I want to share how you each are influencing your local fields of service with community events, special services, or outreach successes. Please submit those to me at your convenience. Let us encourage one another, pray for one another and rejoice is what God is going to do in 2024!

Embracing Biblical Teachings in Our Lives
In the tapestry of biblical teachings, a recurring theme stands out – the principle that inheriting the promise is often tied to one’s adherence to divine principles.
This concept is not merely a historical or theological assertion but a living, breathing guideline for how we, as believers, can align our lives with God’s plan and purpose.
The Foundation of the Principle
The Bible is replete with instances where adherence to God's principles led to the fulfillment of His promises. Consider Abraham, a paragon of faith who was promised numerous descendants and a land of his own. This promise was not just a gratuitous gift but a reward for his unwavering faith and obedience.
“And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD counted him as righteous because of his faith.” (Genesis 15:6, NLT)
Abraham’s journey exemplifies that through obedience and faith, we position ourselves to receive God’s promises.
The Principles at Work
The biblical narrative showcases numerous examples where principles precede promises: Joseph’s integrity in the face of trials, Daniel’s unwavering commitment to prayer despite the lion’s den, and Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi. All these stories underscore a profound truth; adherence to divine principles is often a precursor to inheriting God’s promises.
Joseph: Integrity in Trials
Joseph’s life journey, detailed in Genesis, is a testament to integrity. Despite being sold into slavery and unjustly imprisoned, he maintained his faith and integrity, which eventually led him to become the second most powerful man in Egypt.
“The LORD was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.” (Genesis 39:2, NLT)
Daniel: Commitment to Prayer
Daniel’s unwavering commitment to prayer, even when it meant facing a den of lions, is another poignant example. His devotion to God’s principles saved him and led to a decree honoring God throughout the kingdom. “
So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lion’s den. The king said to Daniel, May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!" (Daniel 6:16, NIV)
Ruth: Loyalty and Love
Ruth’s story is a beautiful illustration of loyalty and love. Her decision to stay with Naomi led her to Boaz, through whom she became part of the lineage of Jesus Christ.
“But Ruth replied, Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” (Ruth 1:16, NIV)
Applying the Principle Today
In today’s world, the principle of inheriting the promise through adherence to God’s principles is as relevant as ever. It calls for a steadfast commitment to living out biblical truths in every aspect of our lives.
Faith in Action: Just as Abraham’s faith was counted as righteousness, our faith should be active, transforming our decisions and actions.
Integrity in Adversity: Like Joseph, we are called to maintain our integrity, even in the face of trials and temptations.
Unwavering Prayer: Daniel’s example teaches us the power of consistent and unwavering prayer, regardless of circumstances.
Loyalty and Love: Ruth’s story encourages us to show loyalty and love, knowing that our actions can have far-reaching implications beyond what we can see.
The foundational truth that resonates throughout the Bible is that inheriting the promise is contingent upon adhering to God’'s principles. It is a call to action for every believer to live a life aligned with God’;s word.
As we embrace these principles in our daily lives, we open ourselves to the fulfillment of His promises, experiencing the fullness of His blessings and purpose for our lives.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33, NIV)
In embracing these principles, we learn the divine imperative of growth where we are not just adherents of a faith; we become living testimonies of the transformative power of God’s promises fulfilled through obedience and faith.
The Imperative of Growth in God’s Plan
In the journey of faith, growth is not just a byproduct but a necessity. The Bible assures us that-
“The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.” (Haggai 2:9).
This promise sets a precedent for believers. To align with God’s will is to commit to personal growth. As a pastor, I have witnessed the transformative power of this alignment.
The Individual Journey of Spiritual Growth
Spiritual growth is deeply personal. One cannot walk another’s spiritual path; each believer must cultivate their own relationship with God. The ultimate glory, as we know, belongs to the
Lord Jesus Christ. Our growth, therefore, is not for self-glorification but to demonstrate the truth of living for God. As we grow, we become beacons of light to a world in need, reflecting God’s glory, grace, and mercy.
The Blessing of Growth for God’s Glory
God’s blessing upon His church is not for our sake alone, but to glorify Him. As stated in 2 Corinthians 4:6–7, the light of God shines in our hearts to reveal His glory through Jesus Christ.
Our growth and blessings become a medium to bless others, drawing them closer to God. This is the overmastering principle that we need to learn to embrace instruction and intentional growth.
